The Special Olympics
PNG is dedicated to
promoting social inclusion
and enhancing the
lives of individuals with
intellectual disabilities
through sports. The
competition involves teams from nearby central villages,
special schools and mainstream schools. Each team consists
of a mixture of athletes with and without disabilities.
The 2025 event was held at UPNG on 4 October, followed
with the final on 11 October. Twelve schools participated,
bringing the total number of students to 300.
This event was organised to foster friendship, break
down social barriers, bring joy and excitement, and enable
specially abled children to shine. Moni Plus supports this
closely as it aligns with the vision of our Founder Mr. Bernard
Chan, OBE, to support specially abled children as the patron
of this event.
As the major sponsor, Moni Plus had the privilege
of running the award presentations and providing
refreshments to the kids along with a donation of 100 Moni
Plus school kits.
